PRACTICAL INFORMATION

 

CONFERENCE HALL

House of Representatives, Place de la Nation, 1008 Bruxelles
The meeting will take place in the hemicycle of the House.

INTERPRETING

Simultaneous interpreting of the debates is arranged in the eleven official languages of the EU.

TRANSPORTATION

No transportation from the airport to the hotels is provided for. A coach service from the hotels to the various Conference venues will be available for the delegations.

REGISTRATION OF DELEGATIONS

Registration will take place at the hotels on Wednesday 3 October 2001 from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. It is also possible for the delegation members to register on Thursday 4 October 2001 at 8.45 a.m. in the peristyle of the "Palace of the Nation".

BADGES

Conference badges are of 5 different types:

Delegates
Delegation secretaries
Guests
Organisation- secretariat of the conference
Press

Blue
Red
Green
White
Yellow

Participants are required to wear these badges visibly at all conference venues.

SECRETARIAT OF THE CONFERENCE

The secretariat of the conference is located in the Ambassador�s room (situated behind the hemicycle). It will provide the delegates with:

SECRETARIAT OF THE DELEGATIONS

Room 3 (2nd vice-presidency situated behind the hemicycle) is available for the delegations. Facilities such as computers, word processing and Internet access are available to the delegations.

Room 1 (meeting room behind the hemicycle) is also available for the delegations.

FIRST AID

Medical assistance is available at all times in the Parliament. In case of an emergency, please contact the secretariat of the conference or the ushers.

PHONE � FAX

Delegates can use the phone booths near the hemicycle. Incoming phone calls (tel.: 02/549.83.07-02/549.83.06) and faxes (02/549.87.77) can be addressed at the Conference secretariat which will inform conference participants. Outgoing faxes can also be transmitted to the secretariat of the Conference which will send them.
